SpectrophotometerSpectrophotometers are a device used to
gauge the amount of light in a sample at various wavelengths. In order to
determine how much light is absorbed or transmitted by the sample at each
wavelength, the incident light is separated into its component wavelengths. To
ascertain the concentration of a certain material in a sample,
spectrophotometers are employed in a variety of scientific disciplines such as
chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and environmental science. Additionally, they
are employed in quality control procedures in the food and beverage,
pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. These devices gauge how much of the
electromagnetic spectrum's ultraviolet and visible light is absorbed or
transmitted by a sample. |
