Tablet Friability Testers

Tablet friability testers are tools used in the pharmaceutical industry to gauge a tablet's friability, or propensity to break or crumble when being handled, packaged, or transported. By subjecting the tablets to mechanical stress and impact in a revolving drum, the testers recreate these conditions. In order to conduct the test, a sample of tablets is put within the drum and rotated there for a predetermined amount of time. The weight loss resulting from tablet breakage or crumbling is then calculated once the tablets have been removed from the drum. Tablet friability testers are demanded for their high efficiency and accuracy.
